 when it comes to the cover layout we had a lot of freedom when it comes to the way we wanted to layout the cover, the color that we wanted on the background was from the colors that we said we wanted to choose. When it comes to the font we had to use the ones that we pick with our group because all of our fonts had to be the same.  we added secondary headlines on the cover and we also either have to put a bar code or an address. 

 we started discussing how we want to arrange the way our magazines are going to look like, we were shown many examples of the way we can design the layout of our magazines we went over were to put the caption and how to avoid trap white space.  we learn about secondary coverage, micro space conventional space, and macro space making headline and secondary headlines and subheadlines. 

The next thing we did after learning about themes we learn how to use studio work, at first it was a bit complicated because there were so many things that keep up with but as we use it more it become more and ore easier to understand.  The navigation tools and the progress bar is what we learn about first, we all were assigned specific page number that we can work on.  we learn how to create an image box how to upload an image in the box, the different types of fonts that we can use, we learn that use the inspector for different things such as filling in our backgrounds how to add a shadow to a picture box. To measure we use picas, we were able to fl ip an image invert and also group our work we learn how to bring an item from the back and how to send one to the back.

 When it comes to exploring the idea for our theme we did a lot of assignments regarding that since choosing a theme was so important one of the assignments that we had to do was to come up with 10 ideas of theme that we would like our magazines to be about, we could pick any theme of our interest for that assignment. The other assignments that we focus on were to compare different websites and to see how their theme best fits the products that they are trying to sell, I learn that if you can make your design eye-catching but not too upfront is the best way to get the right audience's attention. 

 Choosing a theme was a big part of the things we had to do before we started to work on our magazine. We looked at different magazines so we could have an idea of what we were supposed to be doing. There was an assignment about understanding what the theme was so that there wouldn't be anyone that is confused about what we would be doing. we looked at different thyme cover to get an idea about what we would be doing, we also worked in a group to pick a theme for our magazines. Below are some of the covers that we looked at.   

 I joined the class later than some of the students when I started the first assignment that I worked on was a discussion assignment, was an assignment that we had to do in a group of 3 people. We had to research three different questions, they all focus on media one of the questions that we had to research was about whether or not media is valuable we choose a side and did our research on that. After, when we all had information on the question that was asked we had to do a video of us reading what we had found and we cited our sources at the end of the video.
